Doubling the side to 10 should make surface area four times larger and volume eight times larger, which is a useful scale check. The result can support packaging, material estimates, or a geometry lesson, but only when the object is genuinely cube-like. Use square units for surface area and cubic units for volume; a side measured in inches does not make the volume a linear inch value. The formulas assume sharp corners, equal edges, flat faces, and no openings or wall thickness. A hollow cube, a rounded block, or a box with different dimensions belongs in a different model. For a real package, use internal dimensions for capacity and external dimensions for shipping clearance, and do not add material waste unless the project requires it. Rounding the displayed diagonals may matter when a diagonal is used to select a rigid insert or screen.
